Is what you see a result of reflection (seeing something that exists?) Or is it a result of projection? Your personal interpretation of what you think you see. Much is shared in the spiritual realm about our judgements of others being a reflection of how we feel about ourselves. Rather than try to answer this question, perhaps we can use it as a reminder when we find ourselves in a righteous position. The next time you see yourself about to tell another how they should be, live their life or why you are right and they are wrong, ask yourself: Who am I really talking to here? Take a look at you and see how the thought you hold might apply to a judgement you have about you… once you’ve observed, cancel any negativity created, bless all and continue on your way. ...
I’m Just Trying To Find My Place In The World. Aren’t we all? We all come into this Lifestream with a purpose. A destiny that we are to fulfill. But somewhere along our physical journey some of us forget that our daily life is a vehicle for our spiritual maturity. We become our responsibilities and forget that there is more to our journey here. Some, spend a lifetime not knowing that they have a higher purpose. Others awaken. Teenage years may bring on disillusionment and the searching begins. Some of us grow into adulthood still sleeping, unaware that their purpose awaits until the Universe taps them with a major life event. And some of us leave the planet never knowing that there was more. And you. Have you found your higher calling? Do you know why you are here? Have you found your place in the world? ...
Living in New York, I see lots of people every day and often my encounters with them may last for only seconds or moments… maybe I’m going up subway stairs, or sitting across from a person on the train and we both look up and our eyes meet. Often I’m walking down a crowded street and people rush by, bumping into me as they pass, and for a moment I look at them and they at me. In that split second of connection I have the choice of smiling and sending them positive energy or not. I ALWAYS choose to shoot them kindness through my eye, my smile and my energy field. And its almost always returned. Why? Because kindness is contagious, and these brief encounters are my opportunity to share and receive love from beings I may never see again. ...
I am inspired by every day by people I meet. I don’t need to go to a workshop to learn how to be inspired. I simply keep my awareness in my front pocket. Inspiration is all around me. I am inspired by young people who are filled with ideas and the joy of creating and then act on the belief that they can accomplish exactly what they visualize. I am inspired by visionaries who seek to affect change thru their art and conceive a project that is big, big, big and have the courage and skill and talent and commitment and heart to bring it to completion. I am inspired by slam poets who perform in a style that is perfect for the words that they write. I am inspired by my 2 sons who have each found their dharma early in life and are devoting their time and efforts ...

Contrary to what our egoic minds will tell us, there is great power in pausing, stopping, taking a time out. Not “doing” and allowing the Lifestream to just “be” is restorative, calming, soothing, and centering. After retiring even for a short period of time from our daily chaotic lives, beings have found their creativity heightened, their patience deepened, their hearts opened. How curious then, that we need to make an effort to release ourselves from the ties that bind us to the hamster wheel of life… But we do, we were given the gift of choice and you can choose “being” over “doing”. How will you say YES to the power of the pause? ...

“It is not your Beliefs It is your behavior that counts. It is not your faith But your function that count. And it is not your conviction But your character that counts” Swami Sarvegatananda According to the Swami, it is not what we “say”, it is what we “do” that carries a greater energetic frequency. Our actions, how we walk in the world. You can broadcast spiritual phrases and truths but do you practice them in your every day world? You can proclaim yourself a great spiritual student but is your daily life a reflection of your spiritual values? We become what we practice, what are you practicing today? ...
PERCEPTION: “a way of regarding, understanding, or interpreting something; a mental impression” Some folks would tell you that our world is full of facts. Others would tell you that everything you see is an illusion, as we all have different perceptions so how could anything be any one way? Have you ever been totally certain of a truth only to see it morph into something completely different? At one time people held the belief that the earth was flat, women were inferior to men, and only birds were meant to fly… What perceptions do you hold that need a new view? ...
We all love company. We want to be loved and to love. And to love we think we need others, and sometimes we do… BUT There are times when we are asked to walk alone. To reflect, to ponder, to meditate, to endure, to rectify, to wander, to wonder,to go through the dark night of the soul, to come out the other side. When you are called to walk alone be gentle with you. Walk with an open heart, and a brave soul and compassion for all that you are. ...
