I recently led a Sunday Circle for a local Spiritual group where the topic was:

Harvesting Our Intuitive Wisdom

I began with Einstein’s quote:

“The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”

I chose to focus on harvesting our intuitive gifts because I’ve discovered on my long-time spiritual journey, that my intuitive body, is my inner wisdom, and it is the most profound aspect of my being. My life dramatically shifted for the better, when I surrendered to guidance 24/7.

I wanted to share with the community the gift of being completely divinely guided, instead of relying on our brain or falling prey to our past pains and our emotional body.

We can all choose to be guided by the wisdom that lives within us. While more and more Beings are meditating, and practicing yoga, accessing Divine guidance is still not the choice many make, when in the midst of daily life.

Many still fall prey to their conditioned beliefs that the brain, the emotional body and even the egoic body (the energy of past pain) should be their choice for guidance. This is still a way of life, even for those long on a spiritual path.

For people, who don’t consider themselves awake, intuition is often experienced as something that comes and goes.

It’s labeled as “synchronicity” or often referred to as “A God bump”, a cool moment that came and went. You think of a friend you haven’t talked to in a while and voila you get a text from them a minute later.

For you Beloved, a tuned in being, perhaps you’ve experienced an intuitive moment as a “knowing” or a “sensing”. Perhaps that sensing guided you in a completely different direction, while you were in the midst of making an important life choice.

Or perhaps you were sitting with a dear friend who came to you for guidance and out of nowhere, words came out of your mouth that were exactly what your Beloved needed to hear, words that surprised even you in their clarity and in their wisdom.

Divine guidance can also arrive suddenly around a topic that you hadn’t even had been focusing on.

If you are interested in experiencing divine guidance more consistently, you’ll need to develop a deeper relationship with the Divine within.

There’s a beautiful spiritual truth that I live every day and often share with my students: “You are your attention and what you put your attention on grows”.

In order to put your attention on building a relationship with the Divine consider these following practices, and choose one to focus your attention on, as you begin.

  1. Create Space for Quiet: Our lives are busy and very noisy, choose daily to create space for quiet. Moments of reflection (not thinking) just being with, practicing breath and meditation.
  2. Choose to spend time in nature by yourself. Walk without music or conversation. Be in the woods by the ocean in fields and deserts experiencing the energy of the Divine that awaits. Be present and feel the energy deeply in your body.
  3. Practice being, not doing. Choose to take time during the day to observe what’s in front of you without forming opinions, just noticing what’s outside of you and what you are experiencing in the body.
  4. Feel and sense as well as think, and begin to notice the experience of each, as different. Whenever you are feeling into something you are experiencing it in your body. When you are sensing something you are activating your intuitive field.

Not only is it important to access your body and your intuitive field but it’s also important to not be in your brain.

When you’re feeling and sensing, you’re experiencing what’s in the moment, you’re not thinking about the moment you’re not somewhere else in the past or in the future, you were in the present.
